About Me
Ariya Dupart
I am a psychotherapy practitioner offering online therapy to English- and French-speaking expat parents and adolescents living internationally, across Europe, Asia, and beyond. I specialise in supporting adults and young people navigating the emotional, relational, and identity-related challenges that can arise when growing up or parenting across cultures.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and began my career working in occupational psychology before completing an MSc in Psychological Therapies. During my training, I worked as a therapist with children, adolescents, and young adults, both in person and online. My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which I integrate with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to support emotional regulation, flexibility, and self-compassion, particularly for high-achieving individuals experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, or emotional overload.
I am French-Thai and have lived in multiple countries across several continents. I deeply relate to the expatriate experience and feel especially drawn to working with emigrant, perhaps multilingual, perhaps mixed-race, perhaps mixed-cultured people. This lived experience informs my work and allows me to offer therapy that is culturally sensitive, grounded, and attuned to the complexities of life between worlds.
Alongside my clinical work, I am involved in publishing scientific research and continue to expand my training, with a growing focus on resilience, grief, and loss. Beyond therapy, I value creativity, meaningful connection, and bringing people together.

My Approach
-
CBT is an evidence-based, short to medium term approach based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviours interact and influence each other. The aim is to understand how changing one of these aspects can positively influence the others.
It is often the case that we engage in thought and behaviour patterns that seem helpful in the short term but are ultimately unhelpful long-term, keeping our difficulties going. My work with clients focuses on identifying these patterns, understanding their underlying causes, and changing them to bring about meaningful improvements in mental health and overall well-being.
Unlike some other types of talk therapies, CBT looks more at current problems rather than those from the past, and aims to bring coping skills to last a life-time.
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps people notice and accept difficult thoughts and emotions instead of fighting them, while focusing on the values and goals that matter most. It’s about building flexibility so you can take meaningful action even when life feels challenging.
-
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) focuses on developing kindness and understanding toward yourself, especially in moments of stress, self-criticism, or anxiety. It helps people feel safe and supported from the inside out, making it easier to manage difficult emotions and build resilience.
-
At Bloomwell, therapy is collaborative and tailored to each client’s experience. You are the expert in your own life, and we work together to set personal goals and explore what matters most to you. Sessions may include noticing and understanding thoughts and feelings, learning practical strategies, practicing new skills, and cultivating self-compassion and emotional flexibility.
The aim is for clients to feel heard, supported, and empowered to apply these skills in daily life—building confidence, resilience, and a lifelong toolkit for navigating challenges and thriving across different situations.
-
Using a mix of CBT, ACT, and CFT, therapy can help you understand and manage your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, while also building self-compassion and flexibility in how you respond to life’s challenges.
It can support a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, stress, overwhelm, perfectionism, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, and coping with big changes or transitions. Therapy can also help young people develop emotional awareness, resilience, and practical coping skills, even outside of diagnosable conditions, so they feel more confident navigating daily life and life abroad.
I work primarily with a type of talk therapy called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or, CBT. I also incorporate aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
